Hot Ginger Drink

Share by URL thumbs up
Instructions
Peel skin off ginger (optional) Take 1 inch of ginger root and smash it up in a mortar to release juices. Put two cups of water to medium heat, put smashed ginger in the water and let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for a additional two minutes. Add 1/4 cup of milk and boil the tea on medium high. Don't allow it to boil, just let it simmer and don't let bubbles form. Leave to simmer at your discretion. The longer it boils the spicier it is. The result is a very flavorful drink perfect for those who love spice and seek a refreshing hot beverage inspired by Indian Adrak Chai
