Each ingredient line is matched to a food in our database and converted to a weight, and the recipe name, number of servings and instructions are detected automatically. Lines we could not match, and lines with no amount such as 'salt to taste', are left unticked for you to fix or skip.

Serving nameDefaults to "serving" but can be changed to whatever a single serving is, e.g. "slice", "bar" or "cup". Shown wherever this recipe is used as a single food item, such as adding it to your diary or favorites.
Serving weightWeight of a single serving, computed from the final weight (or ingredients weight) and the number of servings. You can also edit it directly by clicking on its pencil icon, which recalculates the number of servings to match instead.
